14/52 (part one) - April 1st : like an evening gone...

Recently, a member of our church passed away. His family knew it was coming, and he was ready to go home, but the loss is still very great. This was only the second member in 23 & a half years, to pass away. While we grieve the loss, there is also so much hope for better things!

In context of that, after every month, I say something along the lines of, "It's flown by!" (the same goes for new years.) So now we're at a quarter marking. It's been three months -- winter is over, spring is coming, and we've lived 1/4 of 2015. Life is indeed short. It brings to mind two verses from one of my favorite hymns (Our God, Our Help in Ages Past):

A thousand ages in Thy sight//Are like an evening gone//Short as the watch that ends the night//Before the rising sun.

Time, like an ever-rolling stream//Bears all its sons away//They fly, forgotten, as a dream//Dies at the op’ning day.

Enjoy Spring. (and also baseaball season. all 162 games.)
